when i was in art class in high school, i would goof off and doodle too much instead of doing portraits of celebrities (i didn’t like these assignments) and so i wasn’t allowed to use the airbrush machines, because the teacher only reserved those for his ‘favorite’ students or maybe the ones getting above a C or something but i didn’t want to suck up to him so i would take test runs and first drafts from the trash, these crumpled up sheets of printer paper streaked with airbrush crap and then doodle over them and make them into gross monsters and i’ve had this bleeding heart floating around in my endless boxes of bullshit for years and finally painted something around it. the end
